Daily Tracker Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

The short version: we store your email, your password (scrambled), your subscription status and the lists you create, because that is what makes the app work. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not read your tasks. You can download a copy of everything anytime, and ask us to delete everything.

1. Who is responsible

Daily Tracker at getdailytracker.com is a product of FragranceHelp.net, operated by Samuel Sayre, sole proprietor, based in North Carolina, USA. Contact: hello@getdailytracker.com.

2. What we collect and why

DataWhy we need it
Email address and passwordTo create your account, sign you in and send account emails such as password resets. Passwords are stored in scrambled (hashed) form; we cannot see them.
Your lists: daily, weekly and monthly tasks; planner tasks and the dates you give them; your Later list; subtasks, categories, priority and urgency flags, reminders and notes; countdowns and their dates; completion history, streaks, streak freezes, points and rewardsTo show your tracker on every device you sign in on. This is the Service.
Focus timer: your presets and how many minutes you focused each daySo your presets follow you to every device and your focus time can appear in your weekly recap. We do not record what you do during a session.
Reminder alerts: for each device where you turn alerts on, the push address your browser gives us and a short device label such as “Safari on iPhone”To deliver your reminders to that device, even when the app is closed.
Subscription statusTo know whether your trial or plan is active. Stripe tells us “active” or “not active” and a customer reference; we do not receive your card number.
Settings such as theme, accent color, sound on/off, and the order of the tiles on your page and which ones are collapsedSo the app looks and behaves the way you set it.
Basic usage events (for example that someone viewed the sign-in screen, started a checkout or finished their first task)To understand how people use the app and improve it. These events do not include your tasks or your email.

3. Where your data lives

  • Supabase hosts our database and sign-in system. Your account and your lists are stored there.
  • Stripe processes payments and stores your billing details under its own privacy policy.
  • Resend delivers our emails, such as password resets and reminder emails.
  • Your browser’s push service (Apple, Google or Mozilla, depending on your device and browser) carries reminder alerts to devices where you turned alerts on. Alert content is encrypted so the push service cannot read it.
  • Vercel serves the app at getdailytracker.com and runs the AI helper described below.
  • Google Analytics receives the anonymous usage events described above.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces the page uses; your browser requests them from Google.

Each of these companies acts as a service provider to us. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

If you choose Add to calendar on a planner task and pick Google Calendar, your browser opens Google Calendar with that task’s name and date filled in, and Google handles it under its own privacy policy. The Apple and Outlook option creates a calendar file on your device and sends nothing to us or anyone else.

If you choose Show in my calendar, we create a private link just for you. The calendar app you add it to, such as Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook, uses that link to fetch the names and dates of your planner tasks and countdowns and keeps a copy under its own privacy policy. Anyone who has the link can see those items, so keep it to yourself. You can reset it in the app at any time, which stops the old link working immediately. The link stops showing tasks if your plan is no longer active.

If you choose Break it down on a task, we send that task’s name, category and note to an AI model through Vercel’s AI Gateway to suggest steps, and nothing else from your lists. The suggestions are shown to you first, and only the ones you keep are saved. We count how many times you use it each day so we can apply a fair-use limit. The AI provider processes the text only to answer that request; we do not use it for anything else, and we never send your email address with it.

4. On your device

The app keeps a copy of your lists and settings in your browser’s storage so it works offline and loads quickly. Signing out on a device clears that device’s copy. If you install the app to your home screen, the same applies.

A few things stay only on the device you are using and are never sent to us: a focus session that is currently running, and small notes about what the app has already shown you there, such as today’s greeting or a one-time tip. When you download your data or share a list, the file or text is created on your device and goes only where you send it.

5. Reminders and notifications

When you set a reminder, our server delivers it at the time you chose, even if the app is closed:

  • Alerts: if you turn on reminder alerts on a device, we send your reminders to that device through its push service. A paired watch may show them too. We use a device’s push address only for your reminders and for test alerts you ask for.
  • Email: if none of your devices has alerts on, or an alert cannot be delivered, we email the reminder to your account address instead.

You can turn alerts off at any time with the bell on Today’s tasks, or in your browser or phone settings. Turning alerts off, signing out on a device, or deleting your account removes that device’s push address. Focus timer alerts, such as the end of a focus round or a break, are shown by your browser on the device you are using.

6. Email

We email you only about your account and the reminders you set: confirming your address, resetting your password, reminders (when no device of yours has alerts on), and important changes to the Service, its price or these policies. We do not send marketing email to app subscribers unless you separately opt in.

7. Cookies

The app uses browser storage to keep you signed in and to hold your offline copy. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your account and lists for as long as your account exists. Daily focus totals are kept for your 60 most recent days of focus. A device’s push address is deleted when you turn alerts off there or when its push service tells us it is no longer valid. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data from our systems within 14 days; Stripe keeps payment records for as long as the law requires it to.

9. Your rights

You can download a full copy of your data at any time from Your data at the top of the tracker, as a JSON file or a spreadsheet-friendly CSV. Your data is also where you start deleting your account.

Wherever you live, you can also ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU, UK or California, you have additional rights under GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

11. Security

All traffic between you and the Service is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed. Access to the database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you by email as soon as we can.

12. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and email account holders about anything that affects how their data is used.
